The poster award presentation is one of the traditional highlights of the conference „Advanced Battery Power“ which was held in Münster/Germany this year. After the greetings of Mayer Gerhard Joksch of the municipal of Münster at the evening reception Prof. Dr. Martin Winter assisted by Prof. Dr. Dirk Uwe Sauer hosted the ceremony.

The first prize came with a purse of 750 Euros and was won by Ralf Wagner of the MEET Battery Research Center for his poster “Counterintuitive role of magnesium salts as electrolyte additives on the susceptible cathode/electrolyte interface for high voltage lithium-ion batteries”.

The second prize worth 500 Euros went to Daniel Schröder of the Justus-Liebig-Universtiy of Giessen with his work on “Operating Challenges for Non-Aqueous Lithium Oxygen and Sodium Oxygen Batteries”.

Christiane Schilcher of the Technical University of Braunschweig came in Their and was presented with 250 Euros for her poster on „Calendering of LMO cathodes and its effect on structural and electrochemical properties”.

Every year the poster price is donated by the Haus der Technik in Essen.
